DO-NOTHING FARMING

LIFE AT THE FARM
Life at Natural Farm Shizen unfolds slowly, shaped by the land, the seasons and the people who share the space.
There is no fixed schedule and no separation between work and daily life. Days follow the needs of the farm: planting, observing, maintaining, harvesting. They are guided by weather, light and rhythm rather than by plans or productivity.
Life here is simple. Meals are prepared with what the land offers, shared together, and followed by moments of rest, conversation or silence. Work happens naturally, through participation rather than instruction, and learning emerges from doing, watching and asking.

Time at the farm is not about accomplishing tasks, but about cultivating presence. Some days are active, others quiet. There is space for effort and for stillness, for collaboration and for solitude. Each person is invited to listen to their own rhythm while staying attentive to the collective one.

Living at Shizen means being in contact with soil, plants, weather and oneself. It is an opportunity to step out of acceleration and rediscover a way of being that is grounded, attentive and human.

Life at the farm is not designed to offer answers. It offers a context in which questions can settle, and where clarity often arises naturally, through time, care and shared experience.
